Private Days, Hidden Corners & Signature Celebrations
Montenegro is small enough that the sea, the mountains, and a centuries-old wine cellar can all fit into the same week — sometimes the same day. We build private tours in Montenegro around that, using places and access most visitors never find on their own.
Nothing here comes off a printed list. Every day we plan is built around the person it’s for.
What We Handle
Sea & Boka Bay Experiences Private boat days along the coast — a champagne and oyster stop at a working oyster farm, lunch at a restaurant reachable only by water, a sunset gathering on deck. We’ve even run business meetings on the water when a boardroom felt like the wrong setting. Getting out there is part of what we cover under Exclusive Transfers.

Wine & Gastronomy Journeys Private tastings at Plantaže and at small, little-known wine producers most visitors never hear about. At local family farms, we arrange hands-on visits to see how cheese, prosciutto, and olive oil are actually made — followed by the tasting itself.
Nature & Adventure Private trekking through Durmitor and Prokletije — the latter is Montenegro’s newest national park and one of the least-visited mountain ranges in Europe, which is exactly what makes it worth the trip. Rafting on the Tara River is built into these programs as a rest day between treks. For Skadar Lake, we start from Rijeka Crnojevica rather than the usual departure points — it’s a quieter route, and it’s where the best photographs actually come from.
Culture & Heritage Ostrog Monastery, Cetinje, the Old Town of Kotor, smaller monasteries along the coast, and Venetian and Roman-era ruins that most itineraries skip entirely.
Private & Bespoke Access Some places we take guests aren’t ones we publish here — and that’s deliberate. If we listed them, they wouldn’t stay special. What we can tell you is that they exist, and that once you’re planning a trip with us, they become part of the conversation.
Signature Celebrations A full buyout of a hotel or restaurant is the easy part. The difference is in what happens after — a theme carried through every detail, down to the flowers and the dress code (a white night, for example, where nothing but white is allowed in the room). Behind a single evening like this is often four months of planning. It’s why guests tend to leave saying they’ll never forget it — and mean it. See Private Events for how we plan celebrations more broadly.
Private Tours in Montenegro — Why This Country Works
Montenegro’s size is its advantage. You can be diving into the Adriatic in the morning and standing in front of a glacial lake in the Prokletije mountains by afternoon — a range of scenery most countries need days of travel to cover. That compactness is what lets us build days that mix sea, mountains, wine country, and history without wasting a single hour on the road. Some of the places our guests have seen with us are in our gallery.
How We Work
We don’t hand you a menu of tours. A typical experience with us starts like this:
- A conversation. What you actually want out of the day — relaxed, active, celebratory, quiet — not a checklist of sights.
- A private itinerary. Built around your pace, your group, and the season, not a fixed departure time.
- On-the-ground guiding. Local knowledge that goes beyond what’s written anywhere online.
- Room to change your mind. If the day feels like it should go differently once you’re in it, we adjust.
We Don’t Publish Our Best Places
The most memorable spots we take guests to aren’t listed on this page, and they won’t be. Some things stay special because they stay private — you’ll hear about them once you’re planning with us.
One Evening, Four Months of Planning
A signature celebration looks effortless because the effort happened months earlier — the theme, the details, the timing, all decided long before the first guest arrives.
A Small Country That Holds More Than It Shows
Sea, mountains, lakes, and centuries of history, all within a short drive of each other. We use that compactness to build days that feel like they shouldn’t fit into 24 hours — and somehow do.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer set tours, or is everything custom-built?
Everything is custom-built around the person or group. We don’t run fixed departures — every itinerary starts with a conversation about what you actually want.
Will you tell us about the hidden or private locations before we book?
We can describe the kind of experience it will be, but the specific locations stay private until you’re planning your trip with us — that’s part of what keeps them special.
Can business meetings or corporate groups be combined with these experiences?
Yes — we’ve held meetings on boats and paired MICE programs with private excursions. See our MICE Services page for how we combine the two.
Is trekking in Prokletije suitable for all fitness levels?
Prokletije is remote and can be demanding in parts, so we tailor the route and pace to your group’s fitness level rather than running one fixed itinerary.
Can you arrange private tastings at small, lesser-known wine producers?
Yes — alongside Plantaže, we work with small producers most visitors never hear about, for a more personal tasting experience.
How far in advance should we plan a signature celebration, like a themed buyout?
These take real planning — often around four months from first conversation to the night itself, especially for anything involving a full venue buyout and custom theming.
