Tivat Airport Winter 2026/27: What Changes on the Coast

Tivat Airport, Montenegro

Tivat is the airport closest to the Bay of Kotor, Porto Montenegro and the coastal towns. It is also highly seasonal: most of its traffic is concentrated between May and September. The Tivat Airport winter schedule for 2026/27, running from 25 October to 27 March, is noticeably smaller, and one important connection is missing.

Belgrade: the main winter link

Belgrade is Tivat’s most reliable winter connection. Air Serbia and Air Montenegro together plan around 31 weekly flights between Belgrade and Tivat, with Air Serbia operating three daily departures from Belgrade. For groups flying via Belgrade, this keeps Tivat accessible throughout the winter.

Tel Aviv: flights continue

Israir will fly between Tel Aviv and Tivat throughout the winter, with one to three flights a day depending on the day of the week.

Istanbul: no Turkish Airlines flights this winter

Turkish Airlines will not operate Istanbul–Tivat flights during the 2026/27 winter season. Groups from Türkiye can fly Istanbul–Podgorica instead and continue to the coast by road. From 1 November 2026, Turkish citizens will also need a visa to enter Montenegro. See our article on the visa changes for details.

Tivat Airport winter planning for groups

  • Consider Podgorica for winter arrivals. When Tivat has no direct flight from your market, Podgorica often offers more options. See our overview of Podgorica’s winter flights.
  • Plan the transfer as part of the programme. A road transfer from Podgorica to the coast can be arranged to match each arrival.
  • Confirm flights early. With fewer routes, seat availability on specific dates can be limited.

We arrange airport transfers from both airports and can help choose the arrival point that fits your programme.
